Um dia da moda em Ile Ife um resgate na história ancestral da moda na Nigéria. Adire é uma palavra yorubá que significa gravata e tintura, o primeiro Adire, tecido tingido estampado foi originado de Ile Ife há mais de 3000 anos e, através da migração, se espalhou por toda a raça Yorubá e também globalmente. A sede da Adire fica na African Village, Ife Grand Resorts and Industrial Hub, Ile Ife, o berço da raça Yorubá fundada por Oduduwa. O Hub Adire Oodua está sob a presidência de Sua Majestade Imperial, Kabiyesi Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja11, Ooni Of Ile Ife, que é o único benfeitor do Hub. Sua Majestade presenteou com 6 acres de terra e fundos iniciais. Fundado pela Princesa Ronke Ademiluyi, que também é fundadora e CEO da África Fashion Week Londres e Nigéria. O Hub é uma Organização Não Governamental – ONG nascida e dedicada à conscientização sobre a cultura nigeriana e ao empoderamento de mulheres e jovens, tendo a criação de riqueza e capacitação. Um resgate que revive o têxtil indígena e ensinando os métodos antigos e fundindo-os com técnicas modernas. O hub iniciou suas operações em 1º de março de 2021 com uma longa série de ativações e conquistas dignas. Treinou mais de uma centena de mulheres e jovens do Sudoeste em seu treinamento gratuito Adire. Atualmente o Polo conta com um programa de intercâmbio cultural de residência para estrangeiros que desejam conhecer as diversas metodologias de confecção dos tecidos Adire.
O Programa Adire
O primeiro conjunto de beneficiários do programa de treinamento gratuito recebeu subsídios iniciais e hoje estabelece o seu negócio Adire de pequena e média escala. E estão indo bem em seus vários negócios e contribuindo com sua cota para o crescimento econômico e o desenvolvimento da Nigéria, especialmente na categoria de promoção de exportação.
Adire Fashion
Adire Oodua também foi parte integrante da Africa Fashion Week London e da Africa Fashion Week Nigéria em 2021 onde apresentou seus têxteis indígenas para um público global.
Adire Oodua foram os criadores oficiais de fantasias do Festival Olojo 2021 em Ile Ife, apresentando a ousada e vibrante Adire com o belo e colorido desfile dos 401 Orixás (deuses) da Fonte, para o deleite de todos. Foi também o Figurino oficial do Concurso Cultural e Liderança Rainha Moremi Ajasoro 202.
O Adire Hub atualmente tem uma série de filmes de telenovela, chamada LADIRE em execução na DSTV, que foi criada para envolver os jovens e esclarecê-los sobre as infinitas possibilidades do tecido Adire, a série de TV foi recebida com elogios e feedbacks de toda a África. O hub Adire atualmente exporta para outros países africanos, Reino Unido, EUA e Canadá.
Tecido Adire
Este é um método chamado Processo Batik, onde a cera da vela ou cera de abelha é usada em partes do tecido para resistir ao processo de tingimento.
O artesão usa a cera para desenhar diferentes motivos ou símbolos no tecido liso e tinge o tecido antes da água quente final.
Chama-se Adire Alabela.

Existem diferentes tipos, como: Adire Alabela o processo resistente a cera. Adire Oniko o processo resistente a nós. Adire Alabere o processo resistente à agulha e o Adire Eleko o processo resistente ao amido.

A fashion day in Ile Ife a rescue in the ancestral history of fashion in Nigeria. Adire is a Yoruba word meaning tie and dye, the first Adire, patterned dyed fabric originated from Ile Ife over 3000 years ago and through migration spread throughout the Yoruba race and also globally. Adire’s headquarters are at African Village, Ife Grand Resorts and Industrial Hub, Ile Ife, the birthplace of the Yoruba race founded by Oduduwa. The Adire Oodua Hub is under the presidency of His Imperial Majesty, Kabiyesi Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja11, Ooni Of Ile Ife, who is the Hub’s sole benefactor. Her Majesty gifted 6 acres of land and seed funds. Founded by Princess Ronke Ademiluyi, who is also the founder and CEO of Africa Fashion Week London and Nigeria. The Hub is a Non-Governmental Organization – NGO born and dedicated to raising awareness of Nigerian culture and empowering women and youth, having wealth creation and empowerment. A rescue that revives the indigenous textile and teaching the ancient methods and fusing them with modern techniques. The hub began operations on March 1, 2021 with a long series of activations and worthy achievements. She has trained over a hundred women and youth from the Southwest in her free Adire training. Adire Oodua was also an integral part of Africa Fashion Week London and Africa Fashion Week Nigeria in 2021 where she presented her indigenous textiles to a global audience.
Adire Oodua were the official costume makers of the 2021 Olojo Festival on Ile Ife, presenting the bold and vibrant Adire with the beautiful and colorful parade of the 401 Orixás (gods) of Fonte, for everyone’s delight. He was also the official Costume Designer of the Queen Moremi Ajasoro 202 Cultural and Leadership Contest.

Adire fabric
This is a method called the Batik Process, where candle wax or beeswax is used on parts of the fabric to resist the dyeing process.
The craftsman uses the wax to draw different motifs or symbols on the plain fabric and dyes the fabric before the final hot water.
It’s called Adire Alabela.
